Flight Crew Support Programmes, Psychological Assessment and Policy to Cover Psychoactive Substances

Postponement of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2018/1042 of 23 July 2018 amending Regulation (EU) No. 965/201

As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, the European Commission has given notice of their intention to postpone the implementation of certain Implementing Regulations scheduled for 2020. Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2018/1042 of 23 July 2018 amending Commission Regulation (EU) No. 965/2012 (EASA Air Operations Regulation) is expected to have its implementation delayed by six months from 14 August 2020. The amending Regulation enabling this should be published shortly.

The subject Regulation relates particularly to the introduction of support programmes for flight crew, psychological assessment of flight crew and the testing for psychoactive substances of flight crew, cabin crew and other safety-sensitive personnel.
